About Me
Why I became a psychologist?
From a very young age, I knew that I wanted to be part of a space where I could help and connect with people. Growing up, I was often the person people turned to when they needed someone to listen and be present, without judgment. This natural inclination grew into a passion for creating a healing and empowering space for individuals facing life’s challenges.
I was raised in an environment where mental health wasn’t openly discussed, which is a reality for many. As an eldest daughter, I navigated numerous shifts, responsibilities, and family dynamics that were often met with mental health challenges. Learning to navigate these within my own therapeutic journey has profoundly shaped the therapist I am today.
What Makes Me Different?
My experiences enable me to connect deeply with my clients, offering both professional guidance and a shared understanding of the cultural and familial complexities they might face. Everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and understood. In our time together, you will be welcomed into a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your difficulties with curiosity and compassion. My approach focuses on helping you gain a holistic understanding of yourself and the challenges you face, empowering you to make meaningful changes in your life, one step at a time.
Training
My path to becoming a psychologist has been both exciting and challenging. My practice is informed by an integrative approach, utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I work with clients of all age groups, with a special interest in children, adolescents, and young adults.
