About Me
“The longing to belong and to be prized by one’s peers permeates childhood and adolescence... This need… is a fundamental part of being human; according to object relations theory, we become ourselves by being recognized and loved by others.”
What Makes Me Different?
My interests include working psychodynamically, although, I prefer to take on an integrative perspective based on the needs of the client. I am interested in object relations and how our relationships with those around us affect and shape us into developing certain behaviors, thinking patterns and feelings.
I believe that our closest relationships from childhood to adulthood have the power to have an impact on our psychological states. I am passionate about assisting individuals, families and couples navigate their relationships in order to foster healthy relationships with others and with themselves.
Training
I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate education at the University of the Witwatersrand. My experience in psychotherapy is broad as I have worked with young children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in various contexts.
